THE SHORT ANSWER

An AWS data platform connects storage, processing, and serving layers to a business workflow. On Beat Digital works across Glue-based integration, S3 staging, warehouse-source data, relational reporting backends, and the APIs that connect those pieces.

The architecture should make it clear where source data arrives, where it changes, and how an approved consumer receives the result. We start with those responsibilities before recommending additional services or infrastructure.

Relevant experience

Our historical work includes an AWS-based marketing intelligence environment using Glue, Eloqua and channel data, centralized transformation, an RDS reporting backend, and Power BI. Our wider data estate work also includes S3 exports and Redshift-connected source workflows.

Separate storage, transformation, and serving

S3 can provide storage and interchange for ingested files, exports, and prepared data. Glue can support discovery and ETL workflows. Redshift and relational databases can be sources or destinations depending on the existing estate and the purpose of the integration.

We document these roles instead of treating an AWS service list as an architecture. The plan identifies the authoritative source, the allowed transformations, the destination schema, and the consumers that need access. Working with an existing warehouse does not automatically require rebuilding it.

Connect marketing and enterprise data

An analytics environment can combine web feeds, Eloqua campaign information, channel performance, CRM records, and other approved sources. Each connection needs a field contract, an update pattern, and a validation method.

The useful result may be a reporting dataset, an audience export, an API response, or a campaign activation input. We keep that destination in view so the engineering effort supports an actual decision or process rather than accumulating files without an owner.

Choose the workload pattern deliberately

A scheduled transformation, a short event-triggered function, and a long-running container have different operating requirements. AWS Lambda, Fargate, and Step Functions can be considered as architecture options when their execution model fits the proposed workload.

Those options are evaluated against duration, dependencies, scheduling, failure recovery, permissions, and maintenance. The final service selection follows the workload and the client’s operating model.

Define access, freshness, and recovery

We establish which identities may read sources, write prepared data, and consume outputs. Secrets, database endpoints, and internal host names belong in the implementation environment, with the appropriate owners and access controls.

The operating design also defines expected freshness, retention, reruns, and exception handling. An engagement can include documented handoff or a separately scoped ongoing service. Support windows, response expectations, and infrastructure costs need explicit agreement.

What an engagement can deliver

Architecture and dataflow
Service responsibilities, source boundaries, and consumer requirements.
Integration workflow
Agreed ingestion and transformation paths with validation.
Access and operations plan
Ownership, permissions, refresh, retention, and recovery requirements.
Reporting or API dataset
A defined output that connects the platform to its business purpose.

Questions & answers

Can you work within our existing AWS estate?

Yes. We begin by reviewing the available services, permissions, data contracts, and operating responsibilities. A new project can connect to existing sources rather than replace the whole environment.

Do you build Glue and S3 integration workflows?

Our historical work includes Glue-based ETL and S3 storage, staging, and interchange. We scope the actual source connections, transformations, outputs, and support requirements with your team.

Does every project need Lambda, Fargate, and Step Functions?

No. They are architecture options with different execution and orchestration roles. We evaluate the workload and current environment before recommending a specific combination.
